FORMULA 1/ Starts 17th and wins, Verstappen makes the phenomenon in the craziest
This season's Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix will long be remembered as one of the craziest races in recent years. A race where everything happened starting from crashes, exits, red flags, safety cars, changes in atmospheric conditions and of course, the complete reversal of the situation and forecasts before the start of the race. And in the end, the only winner can be called Max Verstappen.

The Dutchman of Red Bull, in obvious difficulties in the race for the title and starting from 17th place, has managed to triumph amidst the chaos thanks to the successive gifts of his opponents, but also the luck that has been on his side today, ending a streak of 10 races without a podium finish. This, combined with Max Verstappen's sixth place, has seen the Dutchman regain a safe distance at the championship lead.

The race immediately began in chaos, as Stroll lost control of the car on the warm-up lap, causing the start of the race to be delayed. At the lights, Russell overtook Norris, who started chasing his rival, while Verstappen, starting almost from the end, passed the pilots in front of him one after another.

After some of the drivers had made the first tire change, a crash by Hulkenberg brought first the virtual safety car and then a torrential rain that changed almost everything on the track. Okon and Vershtapen stayed on the track hoping for a red flag and that's how it turned out after another Kolapinto crash. Thus, they benefited from free tire change and simultaneously took the lead of the race.

The race resumed after a 30-minute stoppage, only to quickly go under the pace of the safety car after a crash by Sainz. On her restart, Vershatpen made the right move on Okon and passed the latter. From that moment on, the Dutchman was elusive, recording back-to-back fast laps to secure his 62nd career victory.

Behind his wings Okon and Gasli with the two Alpine cars, for a fantastic end of the race for them. Then came Russell, Leclerc, Norris, Tsunoda, Piastri, Lawson and Hamilton who completed the points zone.
