HISTORICAL/ Albania defeats Andorra, Asllani secures the 2026 World Cup "Play Off"

The Albanian national team has achieved a historic victory over Andorra, mathematically sealing qualification for the World Cup Play-Offs, thanks also to England's 2-0 triumph over Serbia.
The match, dominated by the red and black team, started with constant pressure, while the first serious chances came in the final minutes of the first half. In the final minute of the first half, Berat Gjimshiti hit the crossbar with his head, while a few seconds later Manaj tried again, but the ball went over the box.

In the remaining minutes, the Rossoneri managed to control the score and secured a well-deserved victory, while good news also came from the other group match: England defeated Serbia 2-0, confirming Albania's place in the World Cup Play Offs.
Albania also has a match against England, which is more of a friendly because it does not change Albania's ranking at all, no matter what the result is, because we are four points ahead of Serbia, which has its last match against Latvia, but even if it wins, it still only gets three points!
