Latest Russian attack on Ukraine, Zelensky: We are counting on a strong US response
2025-09-07 21:33:52 / SPORT
Volodymyr Zelensky said he expected a "strong response" from the United States after the massive Russian airstrike that hit Ukraine last night.
"It is important that partners respond comprehensively to this attack. We are counting on a strong response from the United States," the Ukrainian president said.
Meanwhile, Ukraine claims to have again attacked the Druzhba pipeline in Russia's Bryansk region, which also supplies Russian oil to Hungary and Slovakia, causing "extensive damage due to fire."
Sky News reports this, citing the commander of the Ukrainian drone force, Robert Brovdi. The pipeline supplies crude oil to Budapest and Bratislava, which continue to buy energy from Russia despite the EU deciding to cut off flows. Brovdi's claim, Sky News points out, has not been independently verified and Russia has not commented on the attack, but has referred to what it calls a separate attack on the Ilsky oil refinery in Krasnodar.
