New York celebrates Cristiano Ronaldo's birthday with his statue in Times Square

Although he is now in Saudi Arabia and has been out of European football for several years, Cristiano Ronaldo still has a huge impact on the world football scene. This was amply demonstrated by the enthusiastic response from New Yorkers on his 40th birthday.
Cristiano Ronaldo fans gathered in New York's Times Square to watch the unveiling of a statue in his honor, adorned with the colors of the Portuguese national team. The event was part of the celebrations for the famous footballer's 40th birthday.
Ronaldo, now in his second decade, continues to impress with his performances. He is currently the top scorer in Saudi Arabia, having scored 15 goals for Al Nasr, while he recently scored twice against Al Wasl, taking his career goal total to 923.
Tributes to Ronaldo have poured in from around the world, with one of the most notable being the unveiling of his statue in New York. The crowd celebrated with loud chants of "Siuuu", the Portuguese's signature cry after every goal, which has become synonymous with his career.
