Manchester United situation, Amorim's mismanagement with substitutions

Manager Ruben Amorim continues to receive a lot of support from his club's fans, as his team's unbeaten streak now stretches to five matches in the Premier League. But the Portuguese continues to surprise many with his obsession with substitutions. The coach's tendency to replace a center-back in many of his team's matches still seems strange.
It seems he doesn't know exactly what his best combinations are. United have kept just one clean sheet all season, against Sunderland at home. Against Tottenham, meanwhile, he left his team exposed by simply making too many changes too early. Amorim made five substitutions in the first 27 minutes of the second half only to end the game with ten men after striker Sesko was forced off late on with an injury.
With one man down, United conceded a goal and almost lost the game. In the era of five substitutions, a move encouraged by the Portuguese coach, it seems truly "criminal" to appear exposed in this way, to late injuries.
Amorim had actually made all his substitutions after 72 minutes. What if a player had been injured a minute later? United would have faced almost half an hour (including extra time) with a numerical inferiority complex on the pitch. This is truly mismanagement.
