New Instagram innovation adds DM scheduling feature

Instagram is rolling out a new feature that lets users schedule direct messages (DMs) for a future date and time, Meta reported.
Currently available to a limited number of Android users, this feature aims to make communication on the platform more efficient and customizable.
DM scheduling option allows users to choose a specific time for sending their message.
This is especially useful for sending birthday wishes, professional notes, or any message that needs to be sent at a specific time.
– Open a chat and write your message.
– Press and hold the send button to open the scheduling screen.
– Choose the date and time you want it to be sent.
– Confirm the schedule and a notification will appear in the message bar.
– At the set time, the message will be sent automatically, even if you are offline, eliminating the need for manual sending.
– After you have set the time, a confirmation message like "1 scheduled message" will appear, indicating that the message is waiting.
This feature complements Instagram's existing option to schedule posts, offering users greater flexibility.
The feature is expected to be available to all Android and iOS users in the coming weeks.
