And if you've visited any popular destination during the summer, it's probably been more crowded than ever.
So maybe it's time to check out places that are still largely undiscovered, or tempting out of season, or often overlooked for their bigger cities or neighbors.
Maybe it's time to go to places that are making travel easier for tourists and those that pay close attention to promoting tourism that is sustainable.
