The Metropolitan of Korça, His Eminence Anastasi, called on parents to show special care for the education and formation of their children, emphasizing that the family remains the most important institution in the transmission of faith, tradition and moral values.
According to him, parents are the ones who carry the roots, faith and example of previous generations, so no one can take care of children with the same dedication as the family. He expressed concern that schools and other institutions are not always in line with the values that families want to transmit to their children.
The Metropolitan underlined that parents have the burden and responsibility to raise children not only physically healthy, but also spiritually formed, with character, wisdom and strong moral feelings. He emphasized that education should not be limited to academic knowledge or various courses, but should also include the formation of personality and conscience.
In his speech, he warned that society is facing ideologies and agendas that, according to him, aim to weaken the traditional family and dissolve social bonds. For this reason, he urged parents not to remain indifferent, but to be vigilant and active in protecting the values they wish to leave to future generations.
The Metropolitan's message focuses on the crucial role of the family in preserving identity, faith and social cohesion, considering the education of children as one of the most important missions of our time.
