The closure of the Tepelena hospital, doctors: We think it will have a negative impact, it covers 38,000 residents
An order from June of this year that plans to close the Tepelena hospital has prompted a reaction from the doctors of this city.
Through a request addressed to the Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Minister of Health, Albana Koçiu, the doctors express their opposition to this decision, which is expected to come into force at the beginning of 2024.
They argue why this hospital should continue to be open. At the moment, there is no more information about the government's arguments for closing the hospital.
We remind you that in recent years, many other institutions have left or merged from Gjirokastër district. The last institution in line was the Court of Appeal.
Below is the request of the doctors of Tepelena.
