Tourist visa renewal, US embassy announces next change

The US Embassy in our country announces that as of September 2, only B1/B2 visas that are still valid OR that have expired less than 12 months can be renewed by mail.

For all other types of visas, except for some cases of government travel, an interview will be required.

" We encourage visa applicants to check the embassy website al.usembassy.gov and travel.state.gov for more detailed information on visa application requirements and procedures, as well as to be informed about the status of the embassy's operations and services ," the announcement states.
