Man confuses crocodile with statue for selfie, unexpected thing happens

A tourist's negligence almost proved fatal inside a zoo in the Philippines.
The 29-year-old tourist thought the best place for a selfie was a crocodile's "home" and didn't stop at the security fence, but thought he would get a better photo by jumping over the fence and diving into the water.
Terrified passersby shouted at the man to leave as the ferocious female crocodile named Lalay lunged at him, sinking its teeth deep into his hand yesterday afternoon.
Footage shows the tourist crying out in pain as the predator clamps its jaws around his hand, refusing to let him go.
Then it began to spin, trying to mutilate it – a savage method that crocodiles use to dismember their prey.
The tourist fought for his life for 30 minutes before the caretaker risked his own life by climbing in and rescuing him.
The reptile trainer reportedly hit Lalay in the head, forcing her to release her grip.
Doctors clamped the visitor's injured arm and thigh to stop the bleeding before rushing him to hospital where he received more than 50 stitches.
According to a municipal police officer, the tourist mistook the crocodile for a fake one, but no one was able to stop it before it jumped over the fence.
