Harris for President, did "The Simpsons" predict?

Will another prediction from the series "The Simpsons" come true in November? Since Joe Biden withdrew as the Democratic presidential nominee, Kamala Harris is considered the new opponent of the challenger Donald Trump.

A new constellation for many voters. But Simpsons fans already had Harris on their radar for a long time — at least indirectly.

In the episode "Bart to the Future" (2000), Lisa Simpson becomes the first female president in the history of the United States.

The Simpsons cartoonists gave Lisa an eye-catching pearl necklace, a purple suit and chunky pearl earrings.

What is so special about it? Kamala Harris wore this exact look when she was sworn in as US Vice President on January 20, 2021.

A crazy parallel that one of the show's producers used as an opportunity to celebrate her current nomination.

Following the announcement of Biden's withdrawal, Simpsons host Al Jean posted a recap of Lisa and Harris on X and wrote, "I'm proud to be a part of this Simpsons preview."

The name Donald Trump also comes up repeatedly when it comes to The Simpsons predictions. In the episode in question, Lisa goes after President Trump and complains that he's left a huge budget hole behind.

After it was announced that Trump would run for the White House again, Al Jean insisted on showing Schreiber's team's prediction. He posted a screenshot from an old episode in November 2022.

The Simpsons always amazes with quite accurate predictions. They predicted problems with voting machines in the US elections - in 2012 they really happened. They had Lady Gaga perform at the Super Bowl – in 2017 – the singer actually impressed with her halftime show.

And: Just a few months before the World Cup in Brazil, they made Germany world champions – which really happened later.
