Cocaine worth around 6 million euros seized at the Port of Piraeus, coming from Ecuador

Greek Customs and Police authorities have seized two shipments of cocaine at the port of Piraeus in Athens.
Greek media reports that the drugs were discovered after a search of containers with declared cargo of industrial and exotic products, which came from Ecuador. The cocaine was detected by X-ray equipment (scanners), as well as by two anti-drug dogs, Max and Kybber.
"Specifically, during checks at the 3rd customs of Piraeus, with a self-propelled X-ray vehicle, a suspicious organic substance was discovered in the cooling units of the containers. In the first case, after a positive indication from the detection dogs Max and Kyberr, a physical check followed," - Greek media report .
In the first control, 67 packages of cocaine were found, with a gross weight of 78 kilograms. The value of the seized cocaine is estimated at around 3.51 million euros.
In the second case, during a physical check by customs inspectors and the Greek police, 47 packages of cocaine were seized, with a gross weight of 53 kilograms and their value is estimated at around 2.39 million euros.
The total gross weight of the cocaine amounts to 131 kilograms and its value is 5.9 million euros. The investigation is still active and there is no information about the criminal organizations that were waiting for it or its destinations.
Unlike other times, packages wrapped in Natriban did not have logos or stamps on them that marked or personified codes for the recipients of the goods.
