Shots fired outside CIA building in McLean
A person was shot at a CIA building in McLean, Virginia, around 4 a.m. Thursday.
Fairfax County Police assisted with traffic control, describing the incident as “non-fatal.” There are no details yet about the perpetrator or motive.
The main gate is currently closed and staff have been advised to seek alternative routes, a spokesman said.
Hours earlier, in Washington, a man shot and killed two Israeli embassy diplomats, a man and a woman, outside a Jewish museum in the US capital, just metres from the FBI office.
The gunman, identified by police as Elias Rodriguez, 30, of Chicago, approached a group of four people leaving an event at the capital's Jewish Museum and opened fire, killing Yaron Lisinski and Sarah Milgrim.
After killing the couple, he went inside, where event security arrested him. The suspect shouted: "Freedom, free Palestine."
