Shooting at the US Consulate in Canada, no injuries reported! Police: We are

Canadian police say they are investigating reports that shots were fired at the US consulate in Toronto.

"Evidence of a gunshot has been found," Toronto Police Operations posted on X today (March 10), adding that the report of gunshots was received just before 5:30 a.m. local time.

No injuries were reported and no suspects have been identified, the police statement added.

This comes as Norwegian police are investigating an explosion that occurred outside the US embassy in Oslo on Sunday. Officials there are searching for a suspect who they believe may have planted the improvised device in a possible act of terrorism.

They are investigating a possible connection to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East involving the U.S. In Toronto, streets near the U.S. consulate have been closed while police investigate.

Several buildings in Toronto have been targeted by gunfire since the start of the US-Israeli operation against Iran on February 28. Three separate Jewish synagogues in Toronto have been hit by bullets over the past week.

A boxing gym in Toronto, owned by an Iranian-Canadian critic of the Iranian government, was also hit by bullets last Monday.

Meanwhile, police in Norway have released images of a person believed to be linked to the explosion there, which caused minor damage to the building and caused no injuries.

The US State Department is also investigating the incident. This comes amid fears of attacks against Americans and Jewish organizations by Iranian-backed groups.
