According to multiple reports from Downdetector, X experienced a significant global outage that began around 2:00 PM Central European Standard Time.

Downdetector collects and displays user reports of service problems from around the world... Users visit this app to check if services such as the internet, social networks and banking services are down, according to the service's website.

Users around the world are reporting problems with the app and website, often receiving a "Something went wrong" message or seeing a completely blank feed.

For example, by 2:36 PM on January 16, 268 citizens had reported problems with X (it was explained what methodology this platform uses).

In the UK, problems were reported by almost 11,000 citizens by 2:45 p.m.

In the United States, more than 40,000 citizens reported problems with Twitter as of 2:40 p.m.
