Vatican: Pope Francis' condition improving after being discharged from hospital

The Vatican said today that Pope Francis' health has continued to improve after his release from hospital.
Pope Francis, 88, is still receiving oxygen through a tube in his nose, but at a lower dose, a Vatican spokesman said.
"Pope Francis also has fewer speech problems than at the beginning of this week," the spokesman added.
He returned to the Vatican on Sunday after more than five weeks in a Rome hospital due to a series of respiratory illnesses including severe pneumonia.
His life was twice in acute danger, but he has recovered sufficiently to receive treatment at his residence in Santa Marta.
It remains unclear whether Pope Francis will be able to participate in the traditional Easter celebrations next month.
He has not been seen in public since being discharged from the hospital. At 88, he is the second oldest pope in history. Born in Argentina, he succeeded Pope Benedict XVI in March 2013.
