'7-thousand Serbian troops in the North'/ Vučić does not withdraw the army to the border with Kosovo, only a reduction is enough

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has declared that he will reduce the Serbian military forces stationed near the border with Kosovo.
Vucic said today that he will not order the Serbian army to cross the border with Kosovo because the escalation of the conflict would be counterproductive when it comes to Serbia's desire to become a member of the European Union.
The Serbian president also stated that this scenario would not be useful for Belgrade and that it would destroy the position built in relation to the European international factor.
As for the US warnings about the withdrawal of the army, Vučić said that the latter are disproportionate as the number of Serbian forces on the border has decreased compared to last year and will decrease even more to 4,000 troops from over 7 thousand that are located now.
'I will withdraw Serbian forces from that area because the escalation of the conflict would be counterproductive when it comes to Serbia's desire to become a member of the European Union. Serbia would not benefit from this because it would jeopardize its position in the negotiations with Pristina under the auspices of the European Union, Vucic said.
