A KFOR soldier who served in the Gjilan Liaison Monitoring Team passed away in his sleep.
Media in Kosovo report that the exact circumstances of the soldier's death are not yet known. Meanwhile, the authorities are working on the complete investigation of the death of the KFOR soldier.
The commander of KFOR, Major General Ozkan Ulutash, also expressed his condolences for the death of his compatriot.
" I express my sincere condolences for this tragic loss. My thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased soldier. His loss is felt throughout the KFOR community. We will honor his memory through our steadfast commitment to KFOR's mission," he said. It is also known that the family members of the deceased have already received the news.
