Kremlin: Russia has not given up on the moratorium on nuclear tests

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov dismissed a New York Times report that Russia may be preparing to test an experimental nuclear-powered cruise missile, or may have recently tested one.

Peskov also dismissed a Russian commentator's suggestion that Moscow should detonate a thermonuclear bomb.

Margarita Simonyan, the aggressive editor-in-chief of state broadcaster RT, suggested that Russia should detonate a nuclear bomb high above Siberia as a warning to the West.
