The deadline for submitting candidacies for the presidency of the Democratic Party has expired. The secretary general, Flamur Noka, also spoke about this process, emphasizing that the internal competition is open to any member of the party who meets the established criteria and who has not served, as he expressed it, the interests of Edi Rama.
Noka underlined that the decision to open the competition was taken by the DP Presidency on March 13 and that the process was transparent throughout its development, leaving a one-month deadline for applications.
Responding to journalists' interest regarding the candidacies of Ervin Salianj and Alesia Balliu, who, although they did not physically appear, submitted the documents through their representatives, Noka hinted that their candidacy will not be accepted as they do not meet the criteria of the Democratic Party, one of which is membership in this political force.
"The door is open, but it is not open for Gysi. When the race for Gysi's administrator is set, let everyone run. For the DP, you have to be a democrat and not serve Edi Rama," said Flamur Noka, among other things, further accusing Salianji, although not directly, of being connected to Edi Rama and one of the criminals of Elbasan, Suel Çela.
