Vokshi lights the fire, but is stopped by the guards/ The height of tensions in the Parliament! The media transmission fibers burst into flames

The plenary session of the Albanian Parliament on December 18 was accompanied by strong tensions and chaos, after clashes between opposition MPs and the Guard of the Republic. MPs of the Democratic Party, including Albana Vokshi, lit flares inside the hall, blocking the normal course of the session. The Guard immediately intervened by taking the flares away from the MPs, while the situation turned into open clashes and continuous noise.
At the height of the tensions, the signal for the media was cut off, after according to official reports, the transmission fibers/cables from the Parliament were damaged, leaving no live broadcast of the developments inside the chamber. The signal cut raised concerns about transparency and public information, while the opposition accused the majority of trying to hide what was happening.
The events of December 18 mark another episode in the escalation of the political crisis in the country, reflecting the deep polarization between the parties and the difficulty of the normal functioning of the highest legislative institution. The situation has revived the debate on the political climate, respect for parliamentary rules, and the role of institutions in guaranteeing order and transparency.
