Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has called for the immediate resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, accusing him of direct ties with mafia clans in Albania.

In a reaction, Berisha mentioned the publication of some data implicating former MP Jurgis Çyrbja, whom he describes as part of the Avdylaj criminal clan.

Berisha claims that Çyrbja has rewarded Rama and his clan with "tons of rotten pears", involving the prime minister in a serious scandal of corruption and organized crime.
