After the Central Election Commission registered him in the 2023 local elections, the commanding chairman of the Democratic Party, Enkelejd Alibeaj, will convene the Presidency and the Parliamentary Group this afternoon.
This is also the first meeting that the PD group will hold in the new offices they have rented on Donika Kastrioti Street.
The focus of this meeting will be the discussions on the selection of candidates for the electoral race. Today's meeting is important for Alibeaj, as the candidates must be determined and time is not in his favor.
March 27 is the deadline to register candidates in the CEC, while Alibeaj has so far made public very few names, in contrast to the other DP camp that has published the full list of candidates, while the SP has almost all determined and only the formality remains on March 25.
The candidates are expected to be made official at the meeting, but it is not known if they will be made public by the deadline of March 27.
