The referee who will judge the PSG-Arsenal clash is official

UEFA has officially confirmed that German referee Felix Zwayer will be the main referee in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, which will be played on Wednesday, May 7, at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris, starting at 9:00 PM.
Bastian Dankert, also German, will assist in the VAR room.
Zwayer, 43 years old and an international since 2012, has not refereed any PSG or Arsenal matches during this Champions League edition.
He is one of the referees selected by FIFA to participate in the 2025 Club World Cup, which will be held this summer in the USA.
His most recent Champions League match this season was the one between Benfica and Barcelona (0-1) in the first leg of the round of 16.
He previously refereed the Atalanta–Club Brugge (1-3) match in the round of 16. In the group stage, he refereed matches such as: Inter–Crvena Zvezda (4-0), Milan–Club Brugge (3-1), Dinamo Zagreb–Celtic (0-0), Liverpool–Lille (2-1) and again Atalanta–Brugge (1-3).
They last faced PSG in the 2022–2023 season, during the group stage, when the French won convincingly against Maccabi Haifa (7-2).
Previously, he had refereed the PSG-Napoli match (2-2) in the 2018–2019 season. While with Arsenal, the last meeting was in September 2023, when the Londoners defeated PSV Eindhoven (4-0) in the group stage.
The return match in Paris will determine which of these two teams will secure a place in the grand final of the Champions League.
