WhatsApp will not be available on some iPhone models after May 1, 2025

WhatsApp will end support for iOS versions older than iOS 15.1 in May next year. This means that the app will no longer be compatible with some older iPhone models.

From May 1, 2025, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users will no longer have access to WhatsApp. Those using these devices will need to upgrade to a newer model to continue using the app.

To save the chat history, users can copy it to iCloud and transfer it to the new device through the Chat Transfer function. Instructions for this process are available in the Help Center.
