PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE, ACCUSES AGAINST ELTON TOZAJT
On the other hand, the Prosecutor's Office of Korça, through a press release, has announced that it has taken the file in charge of Elton Tozaj to trial. He describes the latter as a 'repetitive fraudster', while bringing a denunciation to his address.
"The Korçë Prosecutor's Office requests 'Arrest in prison' for the repeat fraudster, citizen Elton Tozaj.
The prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the Korçë General Jurisdiction requests the security measure 'Prison' provided by Article 238 of the Criminal Code for the citizen Elton Tozaj for the criminal offense of 'Fraud'.
The request comes within the framework of criminal proceedings no. 496 of 2022, based on the criminal report made against the citizen Elton Tozaj, that through fraud he acquired an iPhone 13 pro max, a Laptop of the brand "I Mac" as well as an amount of 700 euros.
The whistleblower stated that his family has a restaurant in the village of Boboshtice where the citizen Elton Tozaj was a regular customer of the restaurant. After a few years of acquaintance, citizen Elton Tozaj stated that he had acquaintances in ministries, municipalities, etc. and had many acquaintances that enabled him to have access to tenders. After telling them to participate in the tender, citizen Elton Tozaj told them that he needed an "Iphone 13 Pro Max" mobile phone and an "I Mac" laptop and these two devices would be a sample for the tender.
From the moment he received the equipment, he had no contact with this citizen for several days after he disappeared and did not respond. Then continued excuses that the bank is delayed, the treasury is delayed, etc. In order to secure the money, citizen Elton Tozaj said that a NIPT number was needed, and for this, 150,000 new leks were needed to open the NIPT, and he could do it with half the amount, 75,000 new leks.
From the evidence of the penalty provided by the Prosecutor's Office of Korça, the citizen Elton Tozaj was convicted on 22.02.2008 by the Court of Tirana, which declared him guilty of the criminal offense of "Fraud" with 3 months imprisonment, currently rehabilitated. This citizen was found guilty by a court decision in 2016 for the criminal offense "Forgery of documents" and "Fraud", sentenced to 4 years in prison. Likewise, in 2017, the Court of Lezha declared him guilty of the criminal offense "Fraud" and was sentenced to a fine of 200,000 Lek, etc.
Currently, this citizen has a criminal proceeding at the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for the criminal offense "Fraud" and is in the process of investigation. Meanwhile, there are also criminal proceedings for other cases of fraud.
