An 18-year-old man was arrested after making his bar available for sports betting with mobile phones. 4 other people who were caught red-handed playing were also arrested. 11,300 lek, mobile phones and gambling cards were seized.

Kurbin/ The fourth phase of the coded police operation "The Last Bet" has been completed, for cracking down on cases of illegal organization of gambling.

The 18-year-old was arrested in the act of making his bar available for placing sports bets, with mobile phones, and for organizing card games.

In handcuffs and 4 other citizens who were caught red-handed playing.

11,300 ALL, mobile phones and gambling cards, which served this illegal activity, were seized.

Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Crimes of the Kurbin Police Station, following checks in various premises, within the operational plan coded "Last bet", as well as with the support of information provided by police intelligence, have identified and struck another case of putting the bar, available to the illegal organization of some games of chance.

As a result of the fourth stage of the "Last Bet" operation, citizens were arrested: BH, 18 years old, FH, 20 years old, MK, 29 years old, D. Sh., 30 years old and VM, 31 years old, all resident in Laç.

All five of these citizens were caught in the act, in the bar owned by the BH citizen, in Fushë Milot, while they were betting on sports, with mobile phones, and playing gambling with cards. 11,300 ALL, mobile phones and gambling cards were seized from this premises as material evidence.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Kurbin Judicial District Court, for further action, for the criminal offenses "Organizing or practicing gambling activities in violation of the law" and "Making premises available for illegal games".
