Exhibition in Pogradec, "Mio, contemporaries and young artists", 55

55 works of Albanian artists, part of the fund of the national art gallery, were exhibited in the city of Pogradec, from where the traveling exhibition season started, which will continue in other cities of Albania.

Entitled "Mio, contemporaries and young artists", the exhibition brought to the public 55 works by 42 artists from the Southeast. The goal is for the younger generations to get to know closely the creations of Vangjush Mio, the Zengo sisters, Guri Madhi, and other artists who have contributed to our visual arts heritage with their work.

"Those works, those paintings that are the most representative of this area, of these painters and that express the features and character of the entire tradition, of the cultural heritage of this area", says Entela Çipa.

For the painters whose works are part of this exhibition, it is important that these works are exhibited after many years while they want the gallery fund to be enriched even more.

"It is a marked event not only for the city of Pogradec, but for the entire southeastern area," says the painter Arif Lushi.

"It is an exhibition that causes special emotions, because mainly our works, by local authors, are permanently exhibited here after 51 years. This is a merit of the National Gallery", says the painter Vangjo Vasili.

The cycle Albanian psychology in the visual arts will bring to different cities of Albania exhibitions with the works of artists who fixed the historical and social reality of the country through images of objects, places and characters.
