Approximately 4.2 kg of cannabis are seized, 2 citizens are arrested.
Following the work of the Border Police services at the Muriqan BCP, with the aim of preventing and cracking down on illegalities at the border, at the entrance to the Republic of Albania, 2 cases have been identified and cracked down on.
Specialists from the Narcotics Investigation Section arrested citizens A. Sh., 42 years old, and EK, 32 years old, both residents of Tirana.
During the exit check, in the vehicle they were traveling in, the Muriqan BCP services found 8 bags of suspected cannabis hidden, weighing approximately 4.2 kg, which was seized as material evidence.
From the first investigative actions, it is suspected that the two citizens had purchased the narcotics in Germany.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Shkodra, for further action.
