Tower and gambling/ The 7th casino opens in Tirana, ICT opens its doors at the Intercontinental Hotel

In addition to the towers, there is another business that is growing rapidly in Tirana. It is gambling, or the business of vice as it is otherwise known. In fact, both of these businesses are connected to each other because every time a tower is completed in Tirana, a casino grows inside it. The most recent case is in the hotel tower next to the famous 15th floor of Tirana.

Although the Intercontinental Hotel has not yet finished construction let alone opened, its first floor is already buzzing with gambling. International Casino Tirana has officially opened its doors on the first floor of the new hotel, thus becoming the 7th casino to open in the capital of Albania.

"The International Casino Tirana is located within the Intercontinental Hotel Tirana and will be the ultimate luxury entertainment destination in the heart of Tirana, with a gaming area spanning over 1,200 m2 with a capacity of 1,500+ people," says the casino's official presentation.

With the opening of the International Casino Tirana, the Albanian capital thus becomes one of the cities with the highest density of gambling centers in the world, where within a distance of less than 1 kilometer you can find a total of 6 casinos. In the meantime, it is likely that this figure will increase even more, since the plans for the opening of other casinos have been announced, where the closest one seems to be the tower behind the Tirana Clock Tower.

International Casino Tirana
The official opening ceremony of the newest casino in the Albanian capital was held on April 19. But it has been gambling for almost a month now.

International Casino Tirana was licensed by the Gambling Supervision Authority on March 23 of this year. The license holder and owner of the casino is the Infinity Investments company.

This is the fourth casino that Infinity Investments opens in Tirana. Infinity Investments is a company whose shares are owned by two companies. They are WSI with 60 percent of the shares and W-CZ Holdings s.r.o. with the other 40 percent.

The first company is owned by Bledar Sinani, who was previously one of the main shareholders of Apex. While the second company is owned by an Austrian citizen named Johannes Eissengruber.

Bledar Sinani is the dominant player of the casino market in Tirana, perhaps constituting a rare case in Europe, where one company owns 4 casinos in the center of a capital city./ Kapitali.al
