The well-known engineer and founder of Albanian acrobatics, Abdyl Karakashi, has passed away

Engineer Abdyl Karakashi, veteran of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War and one of the founders of the mechanical industry in Albania, has passed away at the age of 95. Engineer Karakashi is known for many innovations in the field of mechanical engineering for which he was awarded the title "Hero of Work".

But the outstanding engineer was also one of the founders of the Albanian acrobatics first practiced in the Border Estrada and then in the Tirana Estrada and Circus, without breaking away from work at the tractor factory.

November of 1959 marks the birth of the Albanian Circus and this date is related to the first real show, titled 'Magic Wand'. For years, the circus knew golden times and a public that willingly followed well-known artists. One of the figures who raised this art into a cult was the engineer Abdyl Karakashi. Abdyl Karakashi holds the title "Gymnastics Champion" in many apparatus.
