After completing her term as US ambassador, Yuri Kim takes on the important position

After the end of her term as American ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim has taken one of the most important positions in the State Department. Yuri Kim has reportedly just been officially announced as the principal deputy assistant secretary for European Affairs (and acting assistant secretary until Jim O'Brien is confirmed), effective July 10.

Jim O'Brien, whose duties will be exercised temporarily, is charged with sanctions against individuals who violate US national security policies anywhere in the world. The Department of Europe is the largest and most important in the Department of State.

We remind you that Yuri Kim is at the end of her term as ambassador in Tirana and is expected to be replaced by David Kostelançik. During the years of her stay in Albania, Yuri Kim has made an important contribution to the reform of justice.
