Why was Besar Nimani killed? The problematic past and the suspicions of the Police are revealed

The 38-year-old former boxer from Kosovo, Besar Nimani, was executed in a mafia assassination attempt in Bielefeld, Germany. The serious event happened on Saturday evening in the city where Nimani lived for many years.
According to German media, he had just parked the car and was heading towards a restaurant when two people approached him. Initially, there was a high-pitched debate between the parties. Then, they opened fire on the 38-year-old, shooting him at least 10 times. The perpetrators then fled the scene on foot.
The German police have launched an investigation into the serious incident. Motives currently remain unknown. According to the German media, while the possibility of a clash between gangs is not excluded, the first suspicions are that the motive is related to personal reasons.
Nimani turns out to be a person with several precedents. The father of 3 had often been in trouble with the law and counted several cases of violent behavior.
In 2012, the Bielefeld court fined him 1,350 euros after hitting a person in the head. A year later, a fight in a restaurant escalated into violent clashes. On August 4, 2013, Nimani and his men clashed with a group of Turks. This was the second time that there was a clash between them.
In the second case, it was a friend of Niman who allegedly provoked the other party and after they clashed with words, the former boxer hit one of the rivals on the head with a glass of beer.
They retaliated by pulling out their pistols and leaving Niman with a gunshot wound. In February 2016, multiple police forces descended on the house of the former boxer. His wife called him because he was abusing her. He was arrested without resisting.
While last year, the police discovered an arsenal of weapons in the 38-year-old's car during a search in Bavaria. At the time, he told police he had the weapons for self-defense.
Did Niman really feel threatened?
While no one has yet been arrested for his murder, the authorities have undertaken a massive operation in order to catch the perpetrators of this serious event.
"What we know so far is that the victim was in the area near 'Obernstrasse' and 'Klasingstrasse' around 18:00. One or more people approached him and shot him. The victim from Bielefeld, who was a citizen from Kosovo, died at the scene due to his injuries. The police have undertaken an operation in the area of the city of Bielefeld. The search for the perpetrator or perpetrators continues," the Bielefeld police said in an official statement.
The former boxing champion, who had 26 wins and only 1 loss, retired from this sport in 2019. He had immigrated to Germany in 1997.
