The destruction of the Albanian mafia in Spain/ How 4.1 million euros of drugs got into Ibiza

An operation called "Dragon Ball" by the Guardia Civil of Spain in collaboration with the Guardia di Finanza and the Italian Carabinieri have destroyed two powerful gangs that were involved in drug trafficking. According to the media, the operation was divided into two phases, one was carried out on September 13 and the other on September 17 and only in Spain about 400 agents participated. The target of the action were two criminal organizations, one Albanian and one Italian.

In total, 32 arrest warrants were issued against Italian, Albanian and Hungarian citizens and 42 controls were carried out, 38 of them in Ibiza, in addition to finding shelters in the wooded areas of the island where they had hidden the drugs. During the operation, 18 kilograms of methamphetamine, which could be used to produce 870,000 ecstasy pills, 4.5 kg of cocaine, a cannabis plantation with 600 marijuana plants, significant amounts of other substances, useful weighing and pressing were seized. Two firearms, 330,000 euros in cash and 23 high-end vehicles were also confiscated.

Objektivi i këtij operacioni kanë qenë dy organizata kriminale, njëra me origjinë italiane dhe tjetra me origjinë shqiptare, me bazë në ishull dhe me degë në zona të tjera të Spanjës dhe jashtë saj. Autoritetet konsiderojnë se është parandaluar futja në tregun e zi e më shumë se 94 mijë dozave MDMA dhe kokaine, me vlerë 4.1 milionë euro dhe janë imobilizuar pasuri të paluajtshme me vlerë 22 milionë euro.
