New details continue to come to light from the serious event that happened in Fier at noon this Monday, where the "Eagle" force officer Novruz Cenalia was shot dead by Asllan Mernica alias Azgan Mernica. The author of the execution of the officer in Fier is known to be the brother of a man sentenced to 19 years in prison for murder. The event involving the brother of Asllan alias Azgan Mernica took place on August 13, 2019 in Fier. It is suspected that Kiri Mernica, in collaboration with Sadri Selaci, massacred young Florian Selimi with a knife and then threw his body into a canal where it was found after several hours of searching.
In January 2023, the Court of Fier sentenced the two perpetrators, Kiri Mernica and Sadri Selaci, to 19 years in prison. 23-year-old Florian Selimi was stabbed in the neck and his body was dragged a few meters from the scene.
