Reported missing by family, elderly woman found dead in a canal in Lushnja

A tragic event has occurred in Lushnja, where an 86-year-old citizen was found dead after leaving her apartment. Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident occurred accidentally.

"Following the information provided yesterday, regarding the departure from the apartment of citizen Dh. M., 86 years old, we inform that she was found by her family, without signs of life, in a canal in the village of Eskaj, Lushnje. Investigations suspect that this citizen accidentally fell into the canal and consequently drowned.

"The procedural materials were referred to the Fier Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police statement said.
