The murder in Italy, tensions in the trial of Klajdi Mjeshtri

Klajdi Mjeshtri, the young Albanian who is accused of killing the 34-year-old Italian firefighter, Giuseppe Tucci, on June 12, 2023, appeared before the black squads in Italy, this Wednesday.

In Rimini, Italy, the court session started with strong arguments until a physical collision, when the father of the victim, Claudio Tucci, entered the courtroom demanding to see the 29-year-old Albanian in the eyes.

In order to ensure the continuity of the court session, the intervention of the Italian police was needed.

"We are here and we will always be. Our son did not die in vain. We believe in justice", said the father of the murdered 34-year-old.

"It was a very difficult day. When I found myself facing my son's killer, I became nervous. He didn't even look me in the face. Then I understood the situation and calmed down", he confessed to the Italian media.

After the battle between the legal doctors of both sides, today the court accepted the request for a shortened trial against the Albanian, who in this way will benefit from a 1/3 reduction of the sentence.

The judge in the case set a date of March 20 to determine a forensic pathologist who will analyze the results of the autopsy on the firefighter's body.

For the legal defense doctor, the 34-year-old died as a result of a trauma to the back of the head caused as a result of falling to the ground. The defense thus claims that Tucci did not die from the Albanian's punches, but from the impact on the ground. At the same time, according to the defense, Tucci could not survive as hospital treatments failed due to the alcohol in his system.

In this way, the defense lawyer of the 29-year-old Albanian requests that the charge of intentional homicide, raised by the prosecution, be dropped.

A banal motive became the cause of the crash that cost the life of 34-year-old Tucci. The master, who worked as a security guard in a Rimini discotheque, raped her outside the premises of the bar with the claim that he had molested his girlfriend. The fireman died after several days in agony.
