"Alex Vuci"/ Why did the Serbian president return from the US? The incident with the fake name is revealed

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has been involved in an unusual incident during a brief visit to the United States, where, according to several media reports and testimonies from the Serbian-American community, he allegedly attempted to attend a donor dinner for Republican candidate for governor of Florida, Byron Donalds, using a false name, such as "Alex Vučić."

The news was made public by Aleksandar Jovicic, a member of the organization "Serbs for Trump 2024", who claims that Vucic was caught violating legal protocols and was politely removed by American authorities. The event has prompted strong political reactions in Serbia.

The Movement for the Revival of the Kingdom of Serbia called the incident “a national shame and a great diplomatic and geopolitical damage.” The leader of this political force, Vojislav Mihailovic, told the Danas newspaper that the incident had compromised Serbia’s image and damaged relations with the Serbian community in the United States.

"The president was caught trying to enter under a false name and was forced to leave. This is an act that has embarrassed us in front of the world and created unnecessary diplomatic tensions," Mihailovic said, adding that the event has deepened distrust of the Serbian leadership in the international arena as well.

Vučić returned to Belgrade immediately after the incident. State authorities and official media in Serbia justified his sudden return with health problems, while the opposition and critical voices linked the return to the incident in the US and President Donald Trump's refusal to meet with Vučić.
