Erdogan arrives in Athens, the first visit since 2017

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has arrived in Athens for a series of meetings today, the first visit since 2017.

As part of their bilateral meeting, Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Recep Tayyip Erdogan are expected to discuss the next steps in the relations and contacts of the two countries based on the three points they agreed upon during their meeting in Vilnius last July.

The President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, will meet at the Presidential Palace with the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, at 11:30.

At 12:15 PM, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will hold a meeting with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, at the Maximos Palace, within the framework of the 5th meeting of the High Council of Greece-Turkey Cooperation.

Then the Prime Minister and Recep Tayyip Erdogan will hold press statements. At 12:15, the 5th High Cooperation Council of Greece and Turkey will meet.

It will be followed by a working lunch.
