Putin's envoy visits Washington, US-Russia talks to resume this week

Contacts between Russia and the United States are likely to resume next week, Russian news agency Interfax reported, citing President Vladimir Putin's envoy, CEO of the Russian sovereign wealth fund (RDIF), Kirill Dmitriev.
Dmitriev recently visited Washington for a round of talks with officials from President Donald Trump's administration. After the talks, the Russian envoy said he sees a "positive dynamic" in relations between Moscow and Washington.
We recall that the Russian and American delegations have met twice in Saudi Arabia since Trump took office, while the two leaders had a 90-minute phone call two weeks ago that also brought about an agreement to stop attacks on energy infrastructure by both the Russian and Ukrainian sides.
