"They left them to burn, people killed each other", expert speaks

Expert Bledar Bajrami spoke on "Top Story" about the tragedy that occurred in North Macedonia where at least 59 people lost their lives in a fire in a disco.

Bajrami says that the number of victims could increase as there are people with over 60% of their bodies burned.

"50 people per door is the standard. There were supposed to be 20 doors there while there was only 1 door. There are materials that cover the walls of the building, I don't know what cheap materials they used. It doesn't matter who started the fire, what matters is that they shouldn't be flammable materials. There are materials today that melt but don't burn. I feel sorry for the toll that will increase, who has over 60% of the body burned in the second degree... the probabilities are very low.

I see the organization inside, outside, any kind of norm. The band kept playing music, people didn't give them directions. Panic causes people to get stuck. There were 100 people at the door, whoever comes out first, and no one comes out. They are half drunk, they hit each other. There are also missing people there, but they don't give a damn. The irons have melted there, so there was a high temperature. They want to increase the number slowly," the expert said.
