Kallas: Washington has not exhausted all means to pressure Moscow

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said the United States had not used "all tools" at its disposal to pressure Russia, accusing Moscow of trying to buy time with the Easter ceasefire in Ukraine.
"They did not respect the ceasefire. It is clear that Russia is playing, trying to buy time and does not want peace," she said.
Last week, US President Donald Trump threatened to end ongoing US efforts to stop the war in Ukraine if there was no rapid and tangible progress from Moscow and Kiev.
The head of the White House then assured that he hoped for an agreement this week between the two countries.
Kaja Kallas said that "Russia's announcement of a 30-hour ceasefire over the weekend was actually a ploy to prevent the US president from losing patience with the Kremlin."
"They think time is on their side, so they don't send any positive signals, they don't show any goodwill," she stressed.
According to the head of European diplomacy, Kiev and its European supporters hoped that Washington should take a tougher stance towards Moscow.
