Kremlin: Ukraine's military out of control, not following orders from its

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said President Vladimir Putin's suggestion for an interim administration in Ukraine to allow for elections has not been discussed with the US.

According to foreign media, Washington has said that governing Ukraine should be a matter for Ukrainians. But Peskov said Putin raised the idea because, according to him, Russia is concerned that nationalist armed forces in Ukraine are strengthening.

He has also said that Moscow reserves the right to withdraw from a US-brokered pause on attacks on energy infrastructure.

He said this would happen if Kiev continued to carry out such attacks, although those attacks have not been verified. Ukraine has also accused Russia of attacking energy facilities.

He also indicated that the Ukrainian military is out of control and does not follow the orders of its leadership, although he did not provide evidence for this claim.
