Marco Rubio: The operation in Iran was necessary, within a year they would have ballistic missiles

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that military action against Iran was necessary, as according to him, within a year Iran would have developed ballistic missiles.

"Our goal is to destroy all of Iran's ballistic missiles. It's not easy to overthrow the regime, but that's not our mission objective," Rubio said.

He added that the US does not aim to overthrow the regime or remove the ayatollahs, but rather focuses on eliminating Iran's ability to use missiles and drones to threaten its neighbors and American bases.

Rubio also responded to criticism over the loss of lives of dozens of children during airstrikes, stressing that

"The United States had no intention of hitting schools." He warned that the coming days would be even more tense.
