The Ukrainian delegation welcomed the steps taken in negotiations on the US peace plan for Ukraine, speaking of "real progress" after meeting with US officials Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

Ukraine's chief negotiator described the talks with the American team in Berlin as constructive and productive.

Rustem Umerov added that "real progress" has been achieved and hopes that they will reach an agreement "that will bring them closer to peace by the end of the day."

"The American team led by Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner is working extremely constructively to help Ukraine find a path toward a lasting peace agreement," he wrote in a post on X.
