"Peace in Europe depends on Ukraine"/ Zelenksy: Putin continues to undermine diplomacy

During his speech at the European Political Community Summit in Tirana, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian President Vladimir Putin refused the meeting in Turkey because he was afraid. Zelensky said that the Russian delegation in Turkey was of the lowest level and none of them could make decisions.
He stressed that their priority is to have a complete and unconditional ceasefire.
" Thank you for welcoming us here today. We understand the situation the same way, that this war, Russia's war against Ukraine, must end as soon as possible and fairly. Ukraine needs peace, and peace in Europe depends on whether we, Ukraine, will get it."
This week they would have taken some important steps to end the war if Putin had not been afraid to come to Turkey. I was in Ankara yesterday and was received by Erdogan and I was ready for a direct meeting with Putin either in Ankara or in Istanbul, not just for a meeting but to resolve important issues, but he did not agree to anything. Putin clearly saw that the delegation was of a low level and none of them could make decisions in Russia.
"Our priority is to have a complete and unconditional ceasefire, as well as a just one. The killings must end, if the Russian representatives today in Istanbul do not agree then it is 100% clear that Putin continues to undermine diplomacy and if this does not happen it is clear that a result is needed and it must start with a ceasefire," he said.
