Who would reform the DP and who, according to Rama, will reform the DP?
Let's take the facts in order:
It is no longer a secret that Gazment Bardhi, Jorida Tabaku and other deputies who follow him have gone from one embassy to another, from one country to another, and even to the EPP, articulating the plan theirs: that Berisha loses the elections in 2024 and they will ask him to leave, and then one of them will become the president.
Is this plan drawn up with the help of Edi Rama? Clearly, it suits him. With Berisha in front of him, he has secured his fourth mandate. Then, four more years of chaos and disunity in the DP, and he secures a fifth term. Clear plan.
How did it start?
Everyone remembers how Edi Rama recognized Gazment Bardhi as the chairman of the DP group, even though, in fact, the DP, with its legitimate chairman with signature and seal, Lulzim Basha, had expelled Bardhi from the party. Unprecedented case: that a person whom you expelled, the opponent appoints him as group leader. That would be enough for Bardhi to, together with his friends, negotiate with Berisha and take the relevant positions, just like when Lulzim Basha was in charge.
Gazment Bardhi then made the agreement for amnesty and closing the lists. With the first, he returns the honor to Rama; with the second, secures the chair for himself and his companions. With open lists, there would be 0 chances to vote.
Next came the seal.
In an unprecedented case in the history of jurisprudence, the judges overruled a decision of the Supreme Court and recognized as legal a group of "guerrillas" and not the legal leaders of the party. With this precedent, the parties and Albania can enter into a chaos, where any criminal group can take control of the political parties in the country. Thus, after recognizing Gazment Bardhi as the head of the group, Rama also gives him the stamp.
The plan extends to the international arena.
The two contacts that Lulzim Basha left with the partners, including the EPP, were Jorida Tabaku and Gazment Bardhi. They reached an agreement with the EPP to support the DP, since Berisha, under arrest, would not go to their meetings, and after the elections they would take over the leadership.
The exit of Berisha has slightly spoiled the script and plan for them and Rama.
Berisha will spoil their script from now on. He cannot allow the creation of groups among deputies that tomorrow, after the elections, rebel against him. He cannot accept bargains that exclude him from the international arena by isolating him at "home".
That's why Rama is worried about reforming the DP and Berisha is asking to clean the house quickly
