Berisha showed that he is "non grata", even in Germany

Sali Berisha went to Germany with a lot of noise and fuss, but ended up like a teenager at the door, waiting for someone to grab him for a photo. And the funniest thing was that two days after the congress had ended, Berisha posted depressing photos from the same hall. Massive mockery of the blind militants of the post-balcony, because others have given him a visa in time.
Images shared by him on social media clearly show that he had ambushed German officials, hoping for a photo opportunity. Those who met him did not even know who he was, except for his old lobbyists, Doris Pack and Elmar Brok.
None of the personalities who supported the Democratic Party and set conditions for Edi Rama's government in the EU integration process met Berisha. Officially, he received an entrance ticket provided by the Conrad Adenauer Stiftung in Tirana, but nothing more.
The footage shows that Friedrich Merz had no idea who he was facing, while the others in the photo appear so busy with work that most of the images are in motion.
Albania is no longer the '90s, when Albanians could be fooled by a random photo of themselves walking, like those fans take with football players or art lovers with singers and actors.
These are like the photos of criminals circulating in the media posing with politicians during the campaign, who then say “we didn't know who it was.”
This is also the story of Berisha today.
Albanians expect an opposition leader to sit as an equal at the table, to denounce the manipulation of the elections. But Berisha cannot do this, because he joined the votes with Rama against the will of the Albanians.
Democrats expected Berisha to speak out about government corruption, but he cannot do so, because he joined the votes with Rama to free the corrupt.
Berisha, as a defendant in corruption, is not a partner of any leader in the democratic world, at least until justice has its final say. He is unwanted in the US and Great Britain for corruption and connections to crime, so he cannot be trusted in any Western chancellery.
The most he can get is a few random handshakes, in the corners of halls and tunnels without light.
Today is a black day for Berisha, because no one was left without realizing how low he has fallen, that he has to wait for hours to get a handshake.
But it is also a day of awakening for the Democrats, to realize that Berisha's time is over.
Tales about the removal of the "non grata" and his return to the West are only signs of despair.
The world has many troubles, and Berisha's troubles begin and end at the door of his house. /Alfapress.al
