Mineral and energy exports increase by over 10 billion lek during the first 3

In the first quarter of 2025, Albania recorded a significant increase in exports of the “minerals, fuels, energy” group, with a total value of over 10 billion lek, compared to the same period last year. This growth is mainly driven by oil and electricity exports.

Data published by the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) in the foreign trade report show that exports of this group reached 28.5 billion lek in the January-March period, up from 18.2 billion lek in the same period in 2024.

During the 3-month period, the group "minerals, fuels, electricity" contributed 10.8 percentage points to total exports.

The group "minerals, fuels and electricity" accounted for 28.5% of total exports in the first quarter.

Compared to the first quarter of 2024, this group has recorded an increase of 56.6%.

According to data from the Institute of Statistics, in the first quarter of this year, the largest amount of minerals and fuels was destined for Kosovo.

In the period January-March, this group's exports to Kosovo are estimated at 13.1 billion lek.
